UNIVERSAL ALARM INPUTS

Xpydas accept a wide range of sensor and switch inputs - meaning you can use them in a wide range of situations:

  • resistance tags for monitoring retail display goods and protecting PCs, data projectors, etc., from tampering or loss, or artworks and laptops from theft, etc.;
  • cable loop alarms for soft- and hard-goods retailers;
  • magnetic, pressure and other contact switches;
  • other n/c switched sensors (PIRs, etc.).

Contact Xpyda Technologies for other options or if you require a special switch or sensor to satisfy a specific requirement.

MODULAR DESIGN, MAXIMUM DEPLOYMENT

The only limits to the number of Xpydas you can have on your network is how many free IP addresses you have available.

Because you can plug up to 8 Xpydas in series into a single network point, it is unlikely you will not have enough physical resources to deploy a Xpyda network.

This saves you money because you don't need to redesign your existing network or add new cabling, AND because Xpyda installation times are a fraction of traditional analogue systems.

SHORT OF NETWORK POINTS?

All Xpydas are fitted with cat. 5 pass-through ports and are 10/100 Mbps auto-sensing too. Plug your Xpyda into your network, and your existing IT equipment into the Xpyda, and it will continue to work as if the Xpyda wasn't there!

You can even chain multiple Xpydas together so they all use the same network point - along with whatever IT equipment you originally had in place.

So the choice is yours: Menu or à la carte?

Basic protection with a single module

Any interference with the Xpyda alerts the Xpyda Service which then raises an alarm. Stick the Xpyda onto the surface of another item you want to protect (a computer or an interactive whiteboard, for example), and the module's integral anti-tamper switch will also now monitor that other item.

More than one item to protect with a Xpyda?

You can plug up to four more alarm inputs into each Xpyda (mixing sensor/trigger technologies as required) to obtain comprehensive protection of any area or set of items you need to monitor.

Large areas to cover?

Xpyda provides maximum protection for items up to 20 metres from the Xpyda.

How far your Xpyda module is located from its nearest network point is then simply a question of the most suitable length of patch lead to use!
