the opening of doors, windows, etc., or
the opening of retail and exhibit display
cabinets, machine cases, etc.
The sensors may be
glued or bolted to virtually any hard surface,
for detecting the opening of a wide range
of covers, doors, etc.
Typical applications
include the monitoring of server room or
server cabinet access where in both cases
these are normally kept locked. Other applications
include the opening of printer covers (for
detecting the unscheduled removal of ink
cartridges), the removal of objects from
plinths or stands, the opening of machine
guards (normally closed for health and safety
purposes), etc.
